In case of bone loss, the area can be regenerated with the extra help of
the PRP technique. The PRP method has excellent results for a better healing.
The process includes the following steps:
-Blood collection: Initially, a small amount of blood is collected from
the patient.
Autologous membranes with concentrated blood growth factors for improved
healing.
-Blood processing: The collected blood is then placed in a specialized
centrifuge machine where the growth factors from the patient's platelets are
concentrated in the upper part of the tubes. This process yields a gel-like
membrane from each cannula after centrifugation, which can be applied to the
area requiring healing.
Additionally, there is an option to
extract a special liquid (i-PRF) from the centrifuged blood in the machine.
This liquid can be mixed with the materials used for bone regeneration,
enhancing the regenerative abilities of the biological material.
Bone graft biomaterial (usually cancellous chips), infused with
autologous growth factors for i-PRF bone regeneration.
